Walk-in Health Care

NMC offers walk-in health care with a broad range of services in two locations – Newton and Park City. If your primary care physician isn’t available, and it’s not serious enough for an ER, walk-in care can be an affordable alternative.

When to go to the ER

In many instances, walk-in care can be used as a alternative to the ER. However, Convenient Care and Walk-in Health Clinic are not emergency treatment centers. Patients should call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room if experiencing a medical emergency. This includes, but is not limited to symptoms and conditions such as:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Chest pain or heart attack
  • Childbirth or pregnancy-related issues
  • Head trauma
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Major trauma or accident
  • Stroke or stroke-like symptoms
  • Uncontrollable bleeding

Routine and Preventative Care

While our providers are equipped to treat symptoms of chronic conditions, routine medical care should be provided by your primary care provider (PCP). This includes:

  • Childhood immunizations
  • Chronic disease/pain management
  • Diabetes management
  • High blood pressure management
  • Medication requests or prescription refills
  • Routine wellness exams

Payment and Insurance

NMC walk-in locations accept most insurances, and your co-pay applies. Prices may vary depending on your insurance plan.

If you’re uninsured or prefer to pay out of pocket, we offer services at affordable cash-pay prices.
