Newton Medical Center (NMC) announces the addition of general surgeon Jered Windorski, MD. Dr. Windorski joins Paul Bogner, MD, John McConeghey, MD, and John McEachern, MD, at Newton Surgical Group.

“When I first met with members of NMC’s leadership team, I got the sense that everyone truly had the best interest of the patient at heart,” said Dr. Windorski. “However, it was meeting with Drs. Bogner, McConeghey and McEachern that sealed the deal for me. I really enjoyed the camaraderie and got the sense that we could all rely on each other and work as a team.”

“Dr. Windorski will be a great asset to our Newton Surgical Group team,” said Alex Haines, vice president of clinic operations. “With his surgical expertise and rural upbringing, not only is he a great fit for our clinic, but the addition of a fourth surgeon will help to reduce wait times to make an appointment, thus, allowing us to better serve the community.”

Earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Pittsburg State University, Dr. Windorski continued his education through the University of Kansas. Completing medical school through the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, he then completed his general surgery residency at the school’s Wichita location.

Dr. Windorski has a wide range of clinical interests including diseases of the thyroid, upper and lower GI tract, abdominal wall and gallbladder as well as inguinal hernias. Specially trained in da Vinci® robotic surgery, he is also a member of the American College of Surgeons.

“Having grown up in Kansas, I really enjoy everything the state has to offer,” said Dr. Windorski. “I’m looking forward to getting to know the Newton community and want them to know that you don’t have to travel far for excellent surgical care – we have a great facility and knowledgeable surgeons with a great deal of expertise.”

Dr. Windorski is currently accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Windorski, call the Newton Surgical Group office at 316-283-0027.
