The Patient Health Portal helps patients take an active role in their care by providing:

What is the Patient Health Portal?

The Patient Health Portal is a new way for patients to connect with their health history and medical care. Patients can create a private account to check activity records related to their care received at Newton Medical Center.

How do I enroll?

Enrollment can be completed 2 different ways.

  1. Complete the enrollment request found at http://www.www.newtonmed.com/patient-health-portal/. In order to complete the request you must have your Medical Record number, which can be found on your patient label attached to the enrollment sheet. It is the number proceeded by MRN. You must also use the e-mail address that is one file at the hospital.
  2. The hospital staff can enroll you in the Patient Portal. This can be done at your next visit to NMC at time of registration. You may also call (316)804-.6252

Is the Patient Health Portal for Newton Medical Center the same as the portal I use at my doctor’s office?

No, the Patient Health Portal will only provide information specific to the hospital. If will not contain information from any other facility or clinic.

Can my spouse or authorized representative access my Patient Health Portal?

Yes. If you have proof of Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare, please provide a copy to the Health Information Management Department. If you don’t have a power of attorney in place, anyone over 16 years old can present to the facility and complete the Proxy Consent Form.

How do I enroll my husband/wife/significant other/family member

Only one patient can self-enroll per e-mail address. If patients would like to enroll multiple patients using one e-mail address, they must visit the Health Information Management department, located in the basement of the Newton Surgery Center, 800 Medical Center Drive. Proof of identity is required.

Who can I contact if I’m having trouble signing up?

If patients experience trouble creating a Patient Health Portal account or have other questions, please send an e-mail to: Patient.Portal@www.newtonmed.com and include a phone number. You may also call for assistance by telephone at (316) 804-6252. We may respond by e-mail or phone.

What if I forget my username?

Contact the hospital by e-mail (Patient.Portal@www.newtonmed.com) or telephone (316-804-6252).

What if I forget my password?

You can retrieve your password by following these steps:

  1. Click the “Forgot Password?” link on the Patient Portal sign-on page
  2. Enter your portal login ID and e-mail address.
  3. Click submit.

Will I be notified when new information is available on the Patient Health Portal?

Yes, you will receive a “New Activity” e-mail.

I am having difficulties understanding my health information, medications, lab results, etc. Who do I contact?
